HANDS HIGH SOFTWARE ADDS PRINTING CAPABILITY TO THOUGHTMANAGER, ITS AWARD-WINNING INFORMATION ORGANIZER FOR PALM PLATFORMS
Added Support for Palm Print and Teal Print Enables Printing of Stored Text and Graphic Material
EAST PALO ALTO, CA, May 10, 2001 -- Hands High Software, a leading publisher of personal organization software for the Palm Computing ® platform, has added printing capability to the latest version of its popular products, ThoughtManager and ThoughtManager for Teachers, the company announced today.
ThoughtManager 2.1, available immediately, is a software package that organizes ideas and notes into outlines and checklists. ThoughtManager for Teachers adds more than 75 educational resource outlines and templates including lesson plans, homework checklists and many other handy aids designed for teachers' use in and out of the classroom.
Hands High founder Shannon Pekary said ThoughtManager users have been requesting this capability for some time. "It's a natural extension," he said. "People want to share the outlines and notes they compile in ThoughtManager. We've just made it easier. Now, in addition to beaming information to other ThoughtManager users, users have the option of printing their notes, outlines and ideas and sharing a hard copy."
This printing capability is available through direct support for two popular printing programs: Palm Print and Teal Print. Palm Print enables printing of text materials and Teal Print enables printing of both graphics and text. Users can print directly from ThoughtManager by choosing "print" from a menu and either synchronizing to a computer or beaming to a printer enabled by an infrared port. In either case, information stored in ThoughtManager will automatically print out on the connected printer. Both Palm Print and Teal Print are available directly through Hands High for $14.95 and $19.95 respectively.
ThoughtManager requires Palm OS 3.0 or above and 220 KB free space on a Palm compatible device, including the Handspring Visor, Sony Clie', and IBM Workpad. It can be downloaded and installed from a Windows, Macintosh or Unix computer. ThoughtManager is available immediately for $19.95 from the Hands High Software Web site.
